RE Foundations of Connection: Practical Training in Essential Relationship Skills Classes
We are in relationships, from birth to death, and we cannot live without them. Relationships are essential to our survival, our well-being, our happiness, our mental health, and even our physical health and longevity. They deserve our attention and conscious involvement.
The RE Foundations of Connection Classes will give you the tools that have been shown to be crucial to good relationships. More than the concepts, it will focus on practicing those skills so you can use them immediately, with all your relationships, from your primary ones to friendships, work settings, and casual contacts.
In these classes you will learn and practice:
- Listen deeply, with empathy and the intention to understand the other, and make sure you understand
- Speak authentically, to be heard and understood, avoiding defensive reactions
- Have fruitful discussions and get to solutions that take your needs and others’ needs into consideration.
- Diffuse conflicts, and resolve even long-standing ones
Who should sign up?
Sign up as individuals and/or partners (broadly defined), if you want to have the tools to create, deepen, or heal your relationships. Invite friends or family to come with you.
Sign up also if you are a therapist or a professional dealing with people (human resource, social worker, manager…). Learn the basic skills before getting trained in RE Therapy (a workshop will follow in the fall) and if you want to get certified by the National Institute of Relationship Enhancement (NIRE).
You can also encourage your clients to attend this workshop as it has been shown to facilitate both individual therapy and couples counseling.
This workshop gives 15 CEUs.
